I hope this message finds everyone enjoying a wonderful Christmas holiday. Just in case you thought that you have watched your last gift be opened, please consider this: In a small village in Honduras called Limon de la Cerca, there are three gifts that have been wished for.
A man whose eyes have stopped working cannot see his house, but he can feel how it does not protect him from the elements. He wishes to feel the cool and dry cement floor under his bare feet, run his weathered fingers across the security of the block walls, and hear the rain bounce off of the tin roof of a new home.
A woman wishes to have a safe place for her children. A place where she does not have to lie awake at night and worry that someone is going to kick her and her children to the street.
A pastor prays earnestly for each member of his community each night. When he finishes, he asks forgiveness for being selfish but prays a small prayer for a home for his family.
In a few short weeks you will share in the true joy of offering these gifts to these wonderful people. Prepare to share in the joy that will redefine gift giving for the rest of your life.
Keep the Faith!
